Our intimate waxing services are designed with comfort, precision, and your individual needs in mind.

Please Note: You can receive an intimate wax while on your menstrual cycle. For hygiene purposes, a fresh tampon or menstrual cup is required during your appointment. You may also experience increased sensitivity during your cycle.

WAXING FAQ
How should I prepare for my waxing appointment?
Gently exfoliate the area about three times a week leading up to your appointment and moisturize daily. Avoid aggressive exfoliation immediately before your wax.
How long should my hair be?
We recommend waiting 4 weeks after your last shave or that the hair is the length of a grain of rice.
How often should I get waxed?
We recommend booking your waxing appointments every 4-6 weeks and avoiding shaving and tweezing in between appointments. Consistency helps maintain your results and keeps your waxing routine predictable.
Can I get waxed while I'm on my period?
You can receive an intimate wax while on your menstrual cycle. For hygiene purposes, a tampon or menstrual cup is required during your appointment. You may also experience increased sensitivity during your cycle.
What type of wax do you use?
Our waxing professionals are trained in both hard and soft wax and choose the appropriate wax based on the area being treated.
Can everyone receive a wax?
At Sloan Beauty Bar, we welcome clients of all genders and do not discriminate based on gender identity or expression.

Our current intimate waxing services are specifically designed for women and clients with vulvar anatomy. At this time, we do not offer intimate waxing for penile or scrotal anatomy.
Please let your wax specialist know about any medications or active skincare treatments before your appointment.Certain acne medications and skincare ingredients can make the skin more sensitive and more susceptible to lifting or irritation during waxing. This includes Accutane (isotretinoin), Retin-A/tretinoin, Renova, AHAs, BHAs, and other exfoliating treatments. If you are taking
Accutane, we require you to wait at least 6 months after stopping before waxing. Your specialist can help determine whether waxing is appropriate based on your current products and medications.
Can I wax if I have a sunburn?
No. Please wait until the skin has fully healed before waxing an area that is sunburned.
What should I avoid after a Brazilian wax?
For the first 24 hours, avoid hot baths, gyms, saunas, swimming, and intercourse. Wear loose clothing or underwear for the rest of the day. Avoid tanning and sun exposure for 48 hours.
How do I help prevent ingrown hairs?
Once you have passed the first 48 hours, begin regular exfoliation and use an ingrown-hair aftercare product daily.
